There's some hypodermic tubing on eBay that might be good for a fuel line for a very small pulsejet. I was thinking I would like to perfect my little 3/4 inch plumping pipe deal. It didn't cost much to make and although it is heavy, it revs up nicely and is never fussy about starting on methanol, most times on the very first try unless it is hot and humid out. It's a good demonstration model, on cool days it gets up to speed instantaneously, with the wave of a flame near the tail, a sudden high pitch whine out of nowhere. No spark plug needed.
I still haven't had any ambition to work on my quartz pulsejet, but that's how it is sometimes. Fear not though, I will give it a go.
I'm looking forward to fall. It will be cooler and I'm more motivated to work on pulsejets then. Here's a bit about the tubing and the simple way in which you can use it on a tiny Logan or whatever you dream up. It's hard to see a methanol flame but the engine is purring in the pictures.

Description
Offered for your bids are stainless steel tubing in tiny sizes. Tiny as in .05 inches in diameter with a .033 bore and .032 inches in diameter with a bore of .020 inches by 44 inches in length.(18 and 21 gage respectively) Note in the pict. that the ends are oval---this is the case on the ends only (otherwise true round) due to the cut off method used in manufacture. They are straight (as an arrow) and are new, old stock, ready for use in your project. I believe them to be of 304 stainless but may be 316. Mfgd. by weld and draw process to present smooth and bright surface with no weld apparent.

Selling by the bundle of 7. Each bundle includes 5 sticks of the .032" diameter and 2 sticks of the .050" diameter tubing. (Incidentally, nokte that the smaller tubing will insert into the larger bore.) A bid of 1 buys 7 sticks total; a bid of 3 buys a total of 21 sticks and so on.

Shipping will be via US Postal Service and will run $2.50 per order up to 3 bundles and then another $2.50 for each 3 bundles or fractions thereof, US addresses. Foreign destinations: the shipping must be calculated. Insurance is extra if you want it.

Lots of uses: capillary tubes, needles, spacers, flex connectors, jewelry, beading, cannulas, injectors, structural members on small units, and really is limited only by your imagination.

I will be happy to try to answer your questions. I apologize for the "static in the picture" don't know how to correct. Thanks for looking and have a great weekend.

Best not let these get away, they are seldom if ever offered to most of us.

I think it might be fun to get a 2 foot long length of this and put a couple of outboard motor reed banks in a shape like this. They would fit nicely I think. The shape of the pipe reminds me somewhat of the scramjet or some supersonic intakes proposed for high speed flight. If you were to unscrew these 3 reed bank from the mounting plate, they are just like little harmonicas, very flat having a low signature. They are kind of like the V-1 reeds where the petals rest on little ribs.

Well the shaft doesn't turn so I would be worried about rust or the bearings being bad. ha again

well, if it's only the bearings it would be an easy fix. :)

Need an ion pump or part of one rather? The big hole is 6 inches in diameter the seller says. He couldn't find out what it was but I did for him.

Today a lady came in the library and asked me if I wanted to see a large pumpkin. She had it in her van, she had driven it down from New York or some place and asked me if the children's librarian would like to use it for some sort of display. Her brother grew it. The other day I saw some images of some hollowed out pumpkins used as a boat and there were people competing in a pumpkin boat race. Then today I saw Martha Stewart on TV too who had to ask for permission to row a pumpkin in Canada if I heard correctly. She being a convicted felon and all.
So the pumpkin the lady had today weighed almost 550 pounds she said. And to date the heaviest pumpkin grown is somewhere around 1400 pounds.
