Looks like he's trying different materials.
Maybe the point is a short duration single run engine. Interesting that is being applied to a rocket setup (note the stability trials). Good stuff

I remember posting a topic on a short-lived pulsejet. Perhaps he is using a butane canister for fuel. There is a link from this old post for some steel tape, maybe if you could make a pulsejet last for a short bit with that, a few seconds would be fun in and of itself. Better than a whistling bottle rocket with methanol effect. If you had some thermosteel glue and some thin steel from Enco, maybe you could make a feather-light toy of some sort. I have a roll of .002ths spring steel I have toyed with as a possible short running pulsejet. But my thought was to make a much smaller pulsejet than the jumbo size he is using. If you could jacket the pulsejet in fuel with a double-walled shape, that too would be a good way to keep the temperature down while also preheating the fuel. But I also like the fuel tank forward of the pulsejet like he has done in his video. All nicely combined ready to launch. There're some very old plans from way back where some pulsejet did the same thing, putting the fuel tank ahead of the engine as part of a streamline design.
