Valveless Pulse Jet For Applications

Post by Roddiy » Sat May 28, 2011 8:10 pm

Hey guys, im new to the forums, and new to the Pulse Jet community in general.

Im used to building many things from my garage, some included metal working, and jet engines really amazed me, so i want to give it a shot.

Now, my ambitions are to build a pulse jet engine that can get a go kart up to speed (im thinking 40mph tops), and i have a few questions about that:

1) What kind of thrust would i need? 50 lbs? maybe 2x 50lbs engines?

2) whats the best metal to build these engines out of, and best welding material? ( so the welds dont melt at the high temps)

3) what model of engines would be the best to achieve that much thrust? the Lockwood? or any other which is more efficient? i dont mind building 2 more efficient engines, if it comes to it.

thank you very much for any help in advance,

Roddiy.
