Did anyone attend the AIAA Joint Propulsion Conference 2010?

Post by Procket » Tue Aug 17, 2010 7:28 pm

Is there anyone here who attended the 46th AIAA/ASME/SAE/ASEE Joint Propulsion Conference and Exhibit (July 25th to 28th) in Nashville, TN? It is the biggest AIAA conference in the field of propulsion and energy.
There were several PDE related paper sessions. There were many papers from Chinese PDE researchers, but apparently, they were denied visas and hence could not present their papers. The papers were withdrawn from the proceedings because AIAA follows the "No paper, no podium/ No podium, no paper" rule.
I plan on writing brief reviews of the PDE and hypersonics related papers on my blog http://propulsiontech.wordpress.com/

It would be great to hear from others who went to the conference on your thoughts, opinions, interesting events, etc.
Cheers.
