Engine

Hi Ash How is work going on your nice engine? One design question... (Yes I´ve had a lot of time thinking of it lately, while I´m traing for my license as a tigwleder) Why are you extending the shaft of the turbine? Why not put the CC behind the turbine and have a shorter shaft? Like the PAL and H...

Hi Ash! I have to agree with Mike - Your engine is one of the better I´ve seen to date! Your previous GT based on turbochargers where good to! Can´t wait until you get her started for the first time! Your approach with a PDA and wireless DAQ is brilliant! I´ve been following you on the DIYGT list...

Drill it, weld it... Do whatever your heart desires with it... When finished with it... Take it to your local plumber and have them pressure test the tank with water to about the double of your working pressure...

Re: Fuel Nozzle

Kristoffer wrote:Thanks, found a local store that got these. And how expensive it is?
I´m buying them for about €9. The by-pass nozzles are a bit more.

Get a nozzle that is a bit smaller in GPH, and run a higher fuel pressure.

Fuel Nozzle

Hi. Danfoss makes a nice range of Oilburner nozzles that is made for heating oil, and they work great with diesel! They come in a multitude of flowrates from 0.35 up to 50 GPH. The only drawback is the thread size they have (Allmost all oilburner nozzles have the same thread) it's an UNEF thread ( 9...

Wow! That little engine is looking soo good!

It´s not the look of the welds that matter! It´s how good they hold together!

I hope to have a few more testruns with SB Mk. IV in the beginning of the new year. As it´s been too quiet here since Marten stopped by in august.

No! Bad idea, the nozzle have a few parts inside that will shake loose sooner or later.

...so I can throw out the old Myford, it has been passed down through three generations so it has seen better days. Don´t throw the Myford out! It´s one of the better small lathes!! Get some Tectyl or equivalent and spray the lathe and put is some where it´s out of your way and save it. I think ...

Most ballbearing turbos have the same type of oil-seals as the normal ones.
