re: A "How to Bend Tubing and Pipe by Hand" web si

Gentlemen Please don’t get discouraged by the apparent lack of written feedback. There are those of us (me for one) who are entering a very busy time of year at work and have little time to contribute or comment. However, we do still enjoy reading, and learning from, the postings on the Forum. I h...

re: From Summer to Winter overnight

Hey Viv, I got an email from Luc busting my chops about all the snow we have. Tell laughing boy that his turn is coming. Mother Nature is pissed, she has a ticket for the Siberian Express and she’ll be headed your way soon!

From Summer to Winter overnight

Yesterday it was 77 degrees in our house at 2:30 AM. It was so warm outside that opening the windows didn’t help. I had to close the windows and turn on the air conditioner so I could go back to sleep.

Today we have this! (See attached.)

Mother Nature must really like to play mind games.

re: Pressure jets?

Hi Mike "That is now true of all valveless motors properly set up." Based on the amount of compressed air we went through at Burning Grape I would say there is a lot of "properly set up" left to do. Regardless of the amount of hot air flowing, it was a blast and I look forward to doing it all again ...

re: Pressure jets?

OK, I'll dive into the water here. It is a bit murky, probably cold and could only be a few inches deep, but head first it is. Luc and Viv have sworn off these discussions, so I’ll take up the gloves and give it a go. Other than Luc and Viv, I have probably spent more time with the mix of pulse je...

re: The Voice of Fo Mi Chin Is Heard In the Land

Larry I thought that first picture looked familiar so I went back through my digitals from the Burning Grape to find that it was mine. I think you will also find part of our starting difficulties are clearly displayed in the first photo. That is not exactly a needle valve you see in line with your e...

re: End of the road for the Gluhareff pressure jet

Hagent The following link will take you to where the .MOV file can be downloaded. Unless you are set up to automatically log on to the GLC site, you will probably have to stop along the way to take that step. http://www.glc-inc.ca/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=475#475 It is definately worth the time to down...

re: End of the road for the Gluhareff pressure jet

OK, I finally got it! Apparently the QuickTime Updater will not take you all the way up to v7.X, that is required for this video to run. You have to specifically download "QuickTime 7 for Windows Public Preview 3". from the site because as it is a beta version. This link should take you directly to ...

Bruno
It is great to see that you got the latest version.
Just downloaded it and paged through to make sure I had it all.
Serious reading will have to wait until I have some down time while traveling in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to it.
Keep up the good work.

re: G8-2-130r

Guys This is how Gene described the conversion in his "Technical Manual" on his G8-2 engines. "Horsepower versus Jet Thrust Most people are used to evaluating power on the basis of an engine's horsepower rating. However, an engine that produces pure thrust (rather than torque at a rotating output sh...

Mr. Yuk Having had the opportunity to see and run Luc and Viv's version of the engine you just built, I fully agree. Reading is one thing. Experiencing it first hand is quite another. Congratulations on making it through a complex build. I too am looking forward to seeing the pictures and reading mo...

re: Jet Canoe

El-Kablooey Having had one of those Tupperware canoe's, I can tell you that they will deform just from setting in the sun. Based on that, and my personal experience with the heat from Pulse Jets, I suggest more separation / isolation (think air gap in your mounting brackets) from the canoe and defin...
