I'v seen a few references to jamjar engines and "snorkles".
I was wandering, what they are and how they work? (and what they do?)
The idea of a jet made out of a jam jar is pretty interesting. Does anyone have any idea how theyre made?

jam jars are just that, a jam jar with a hole in the lid. pour a little meths inside adn swirl it round , then place a naked flame by the hole, the rest as they say is history.adibrook wrote:I'v seen a few references to jamjar engines and "snorkles".

You can also add a stack and a set of smaller holes to improve performance, even on a glass jar. See Hank's article on how to do it:
