Well, it's relevant to the forum nasmuch as I know of at least one US company to have switched from pulsejets to flapping wings. People I used to correspond with -- who worked on the development of micro-miniature pulsejet engines etched from quartz crystals -- have switched away to concentrate on flapping wing designs for their super-tiny spy machines.

complicated little things these, i saw a program the other night about UAV's and they had a interview with some guy trying to make a RC fly (like the annoying ones that fly around your house)
