Hi All,
I have abandoned my original idea and modded it a bit. I was going for a dual one piece matchplate pattern but that was too ambitious.
I made a matchplate sure enough but with individual elements.

So... another 4 to cast and a valve carrier assembly to make. And the valves. And the fuelling system and.... and... I'll get there in the end.
Cheers,
Wilson.

Re: valve casting
Hi Mike,
I'm well. Suffering from raging poverty but other than that I'm fine.
I'm most proud of the wax master & RTV mould in this post

That was real tough. The casting bit has had its moments but the master took months of experimentation. I blended my own machining wax, had to grind a tapered cutter to get the right draft, and so on, and so on.
Anyway, on the home stretch now.
I firmly believe that if large valved engines are ever to be affordable, the only solution is cast parts.
Cheers,
Wilson.
