augmenter for M40

Re: augmenter for M40
The Thunderchine augmentors would need to be smaller. If possible print the plans at 74.6%
If not an option then try to build near the standard augmentor formula seen below. Bashing and weld what you have available as Jutte recommended.

Re: augmenter for M40
by using the standard augmenter formula i get the following values..
delta= 2*5= 10cm
D=2.6*5= 13cm
L=10*5= 50cm
R= 0.25*13= 3.25cm
what do you think about this..

Re: augmenter for M40
Ganuganu the math looks good, metiz, i agree that looks a little short for my eye. It is important to have a smooth interior seam between the flare and the augmentor body. Looks like the flare could be slightly wider, but what you have there is a good place to start.
Re: augmenter for M40
The engine geometry is limiting what I can do with these augmenters unless I make then ridiculously hard to build. Ill lengthen the augmenters and add some fat to the flares. Asume they're hammered into a nice belmouth instead of a hard cone, don't want to make those things in sketchup

Re: augmenter for M40
here is the drawing of the calculated dimensions..is it k to use it in the intake side..
Re: augmenter for M40
wow, those dimensions are on the large size, best to wait and see what metiz formulates.
Re: augmenter for M40
dual augmenters don't realy work. I'm trying to fix up a single augmenter for both intakes now. Kinda hard, stand by.
