The smaller section partly reminiscent of Mike's Kazoo.

Upon further examination, I see this fellow has a distilling site. Still,(pardon the pun), it would be fun to methylate one of these vessels. While distillers fear the blinding qualities of wood alcohol, we Reynster's don't. All we have to worry about is over-pressurization, more commonly phrased as an explosion.
It looks like a fine welding job of two buckets of some sort. I bought some stainless steel bowls hoping to one day fasten them at the lip akin to what this guy has done with buckets. If you go to Walmart or someplace with kitchenwares, they have several sizes of steel salad bowls. It might have been strange for the security camera people in Walmart or other shoppers passing by, studying me, holding two large bowls lip to lip wondering if something interesting could be made by fusing two of them together.

Critical hole sizes
This was kind of an interesting movie tip, I don't think I would be brave enough to Reynst a full sized keg, but I have seen smaller ones that might jam jar nicely.
The fellow seemed like a good instructor in the movie at the bottom of this page on how to remove the center of the keg. A keg this big might just explode and not Reynst. Maybe we should include under tools and construction a plan for building a bunker for testing Reynsters remotely. Perhaps a worst case senario would be that as you were filling the keg with methanol, a tiny spark of static electricity suddenly puts you in the Darwin Awards. Or you could be deaf for the rest of your life.

Milk cans might do well for a combustion chamber of a homemade Reynst. This one comes with it's own hot seat.

Another old post -- the original reynstodyne. I drew the can a bit short and fat, but the concept is there ...Mark wrote:Milk cans might do well for a combustion chamber of a homemade Reynst. This one comes with it's own hot seat.

The tank is sized for fairly short runs, but propane could be used for continuous hot seat operation.
