My mouse even works well in CAD. It double-clicks, but now only when choosing options, not major functions. It is quite usable this way..

Had to warm reboot yesterday; machine was running slow--almost 90% of real (non-swap) memory was being used.

Last reboot was Fri Jun 04, 2010 3:39 am.

... last night while I was using my favorite music management and playback software, the program choked when it couldn't find a single song on my usb drive--at least for the lists containing them.

... I've been having a problem with Firefox and playing video/audio produced by flash embedded websites--something to do with mplayer. Sometimes it works properly, but more often than not, it does not.

Epiphany works w/o a hitch on these sites for me.

However, today I discovered something quite independently from anything I've read on the I'net.

Fixing Firefox Corrupted Sound

Sometimes I go to a website and thru flashplayer Firefox starts to play annoying advertisement sound - which often gets corrupted and sounds terrible.

The fix:
Look at system monitor and find "plugin-container". LMC and choose "Stop process" with RMC. The sound should immediately stop, but will respond again if you reload the page. Hopefully, it will no longer sound corrupted.

At least this will save you from killing all Firefox windows and reloading them all.

This has "reared its ugly little head" recently after doing some serious video processing. I bought a 1TB usb external hard drive prior to last Christmas. It is formatted as a FAT32 partition and I wondered then if it was a good idea to use "as is" or change it (or some of it) to a Linux partition.

 I opted for the former.
