Spring Cleaning

Post by Eric » Mon Apr 20, 2009 5:35 am

Well its spring again, and running out of room to store old obsolete prototypes. Going to be selling some of these and more to make room, figured I'd post some pics here so you guys can see what kind of stuff I have been up to the past 2 years or so...

Also after lots of testing and tweaking I am adding 3 new sizes to the production FWE family:
FWE Adv - Full size
*FWE Minni - 75% size
*FWE Micro - 50% size
*FWE Nano - 35% size!

The micro and nano sound incredible, sounds so smooth unlike the big engines, just a horendously loud roaring noise, much more turbine like than pulsejet. All will run on propane.

Thanks for posting: you have been very, very quiet for so long. No fun at all. :(

I wonder what you mean by "Pressurejet - The ultimate in fuel consumption"?
Almost a trouth-slapper, I think. The pressurejet tailpipe is interesting, too.

Your ramjets are looking sweet...top photo reminds me of a feeding python!

Cheers!

That first engine is a linear pulse-ramjet, sort of based on the Messerschmitt engines. The tail section is the same as the shell of the ramjet shown below on the TP180 engine.

The internals are nothing like the Messerschmitt, and the recouperator shroud is not needed for positive forward thrust even at static.

Very kewl indeed, it took a while to find the one with the shroud( i think this was the one). The long length cone in the CC was considerably different, but I can see why.

With the curent price of materials and components Im thinking the following for the price structure:
Minni $100
Micro $85
Nano $75 probably with a little desktop display stand included.

Though with stainless going up and up those prices might chance.

Yep pyro thats the one.

The second one has a ramjet afterburner behind it.

Here's a 52" beast, this one will be going up on ebay probably tonight, USA only.

Also have a TP-180-100 that could use a good home, and a an even bigger monster that has yet to be captured on camera.

Love the perforations in the intake system of that engine, I wonder how long it took them to work out that design

Very nice. I went to ebay, but you only had some wee thermojets on sale. Maybe later?

Hi Eric,

Are you selling the pressure jet as well? Any idea about the price?

Btw, I bought a cd on Ebay at Masterplans, it has your PJ calculator on it.

If you really want a 'pressure jet' I can custom make something that operates a little like a pressure jet but is much more powerful and efficient. Price would depend on size, could make something down to 2" diameter without any difficulty.

I have told that guy on numerous occasions to remove all my content from the CD's hes selling.

Eric,

Wasn't it Bruce S. who designed the home made cruise missile?
You should send that to Masterplans, I mean, not the plans but the real thing

Apart from intentions, would be a nice project! :D

Back to the PrJ: You building a custom build for me will be way beyond my (very poor :? ) budget.
Actually that's why I reacted on the Spring Cleaning as a "high pricecut sale action"
