HERE IT IS! the engine you have been waiting for! the Thundequaker 5000 pro©! This one million pound pulse-jet engine will push any vehicle, building, mountain or planet of your choosing @ maybe 0.15hz and at a mere 140 meters long, will fit nicely in your sceme to take over the world! It's also large enough to build your mad scientist lab in, saving hundreds of dollars on rent each month!
Alrighty,
usefull free plans. picture 2 (obviously ) describes a approxamitely 5.2 pound thermojet engine. the intakes could use a bit of work but as is, this engine starts VERY easy and will throttle right to 5+ pounds. Yeah.....questions?

Re: Free plans
Nice, starting construction this evening, next to my secret subterranean lair.
Maybe I should just build it in Saudi Arabia to avoid fuel shortages.

Thanks for putting up your free plans for the 5+lb thermonese of yours, pretty sweet for only 600 mm. Nice lookin engine.

.
Now, I am not saying that it will run as drawn, but by ignoring any combustion instabilities
that come along with its ginormous size, then I can easily provide you the maximum thrust.
And that would be... 245 kN (25,000 kg / 55,000 lbs)
Its little brother is also great: you don't have to move out every time you want to fire it up!
Cheers,
M.

Very nice but a tad small....
No. 2 looks fun too...
No. 2 looks fun too...
In the process of moving, from the glorified phone booth we had to the house we have.
No real time to work on jets, more space, no time.
Life still complicated.

Re: Free plans
ASUMING it would run at all and run stable, (it wont ) I'm pretty sure it would push close to one million pounds, come on man, thats a near 20 meter CC for 140 meter tailpipe lengthmilisavljevic wrote:.And that would be... 245 kN (25,000 kg / 55,000 lbs)metiz wrote: This one million pound pulse-jet engine will push any vehicle, building, mountain or planet.

Re: Free plans
You guys need to use the old scale, it 40 Orca power or 8 billion gerbilwatts
Re: Free plans
Wow, thats +5 pounds from a 23" length engine. Take it, the 100mm intake is the short side of the pipe.
What type of injector is driving this spry thumper?

the 100mm is the centreline length. I did say they could use some work rightPyroJoe wrote:Wow, thats +5 pounds from a 23" length engine. Take it, the 100mm intake is the short side of the pipe.

I use simple straight, open injectors maybe 45%/50% in. the injecors have a outside D of 6mm, inside of 4.
and now for some shameless advertising - the engine this has been tested on is for sale! check the "buy and sell" board. alternatively, if you live in the NL, go to either http://ncane.com/tvl or http://www.speurders.nl/overzicht/pulse ... =pulse-jet

The small one doesn't interest me, is the other one also for sale?

Re: Free plans
I build one for you in the garage last night and took it for a spin today. I had a little fueling accident though...ace_fedde wrote:The small one doesn't interest me, is the other one also for sale?

Metiz,
What a shame! It melted I suppose?
Anyway, I don't need it anymore since I was outbidded on a vehicule that it was supposed to be mounted on:
For Sale:
From first Owner. Always been parked in a garage. Always been driven by patient old man for trips to the local store only. Unfortunatly he past away.
While the house was deserted the propulsion system was (asumingly) stolen by the local tractor pulling team so you purchase a vehicule without propulsion. Good luck with bidding!!
