Eugene Gluhareff probably had something in his DNA that drove him to live with noisy stuff!
Why?

Gluhareff is probably the American way of spelling the East-European or Russian name "Gluharev". The -ev extension means something like the -s in Peters.
Exactly, the -ev and -s means "his". This means for Peters: "Peter his (son)". This is how many names were made in the old times.

So Gluharev was Gluhar's "(nick name) son.
And what means Gluhar?: THE DEAF ONE!! (gluh is deaf)
