UK Trip in April

Post by Mike Everman » Sat Jan 31, 2009 3:28 am

Hi guys. It's time again for me to go to the Motherland, carrying the pulse-jets.com flag! I hope to get together with Graham and Nick and whomever else wants to show up.
I'll be there from the 16th to the 22nd and nothing is firmed up yet, but definitely packing some jets for the trip! One thing I do want to do is head up to the Wren Turbine company and check it out, perchance to buy an MW54.

I'd like to pick a pub in London on Saturday the 18th and tip an ale with anyone interested!

Heck, I would be interested in meting someone with experience in a field I am endeavouring to learn, well sort of a similar ball park, but hay, you know more than me and that’s a start. What part of the UK are you going to be visiting?

It is a farm something like 2hrs west of London. I'll be getting better info soon. Stay tuned!

Hi Mike

2 hours west of London? well at around 4 o'clock in the afternoon that would be some were along the A40 between Acton and Uxbridge ;-) for a pub in London the Glasshouse in Soho is easy to find and not bad for a pint.

Hey Viv,
You know where Nick's friend's farm is don't you? where is that? I wasn't paying attention the last time and Graham was driving. Ready for a trip?

16th to the 22nd of April, yes. I'm going to see if one of the guys from the gas turbine builder's assoc. want to come with some of their jets, too.

Hi Mike

If its the farm near Yatton then yes but it may be different one ;-) Nick is on the other side of the Avon now so he may have another farm in mind, I am hoping to have some new business in Europe so it may turn out that I can come to the party.

I might pop over if I'm not bankrupt by then yet. I'll probably stay in Amersham. Maybe rent a car, but I do dread driving on the sinister side.

Hay mike,
Is there any news for specific dates or a location yet?
I am hoping to come, but there is a slim chance I will be a busy.
I might bring my little tesla project, the mill decided to give up on us last week (encoder problems :? ) so there is little chance of getting it finished in time. :(

Still nothing firm, but hoping for a venue near Gloucestershire for Sunday afternoon the 19th or Tuesday the 21st. Monday is a road trip up to the open house at Wren Turbines. PM me a phone number, and I'll give you my cell number.
