I fear we are automatons with superior input randomizers, driven by hormones and fear of work and pain.

"Did you see Mark's post of the Jesus poster that says, "Love me or burn?" That's funny in a way, but only because it's so tragically "wrong way round." The real message of Jesus is "Accept my love for you (that I proved by my death) or burn." Billy Graham once said, "Jesus went to hell so you wouldn't have to." This is just another way of saying the scriptural passage, "He became sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God" (emphasis mine, of course)."
Larry

Since Larry mentioned Billy Graham, I thought I would post this interview of him, how Billy Graham views the world. And funny, today I had to go to a computer training class in another town, so I stopped in an old time hardware store just to see if they had any pulsejet parts. They had some unique plumbing pipe parts, the foot long 1/4 inch pipes I used to make my little Logan and such. There was a sign on a wall that had the John 14:6 passage on it. Logan pulsejets and tips on heaven all in one store. ha

Here was an unlikely follower of Billy Graham.
"For Bettie Page herself, the bondage photos were harmless fun."
"She wanted to serve as a missionary but was rejected because she was divorced. Instead, she joined the evangelist Billy Graham's ministry."

I posted this before but what I thought best was the part about scapegoats and the "logic" of blaming someone else for a crime they didn't commit or transfering the guilt and blame to a goat. And by the same logic, pardoning some soul, like the President does just before he leaves office. And every year he pardons a turkey, and yet all the others get eaten. ha

In the book "IRRELIGION" the author states:
"According to Christians, for example, God sacrificed His Son, Jesus, in order that we might live forever. But does an omnipotent being really need to sacrifice? Are his resources limited? And if God did this for us, why was He not more transparent in His actions and offerings rather than demanding that we blindly subscribe to statements written in an opaque, contraditory book? If He loves us so much, why would unending torment be the consequence of choosing skepticism over faith? Why would God state, in effect that if you don't believe in Him, then too bad for you (hell, that is)? And on and on."
"I almost feel silly making these observations. They may strike some as childish, but characterizing them as child-like would be more accurate. It seems to me that any child unencumbered by imposed dogma would ask such obvious questions and note such obvious inconsistencies."

"When I drop ink into the water very carefully, I thought
this would be just simply chaotic process like in Rayleigh-Taylor
instability with no well defined pattern; however, surprisingly,
it turns out to be rather regular with self similar bifurcation
where number three is preferred. I don't know why and I did
not see this phenomenon elsewhere in the textbook; therefore,
I upload it to see if anyone can give me some reasonable explanations of it."

The older I get, the more often I find myself amazed at the seemingly simplest things.

Amazed once again.

One of Mark's recent posts listed something from "LenapeFireTurtle" as a related video. The "Lenape" part caught my eye -- so I presume that LenapeFireTurtle is the LFT in "Sebastian LFT".

I didn't have time to look at all oft eh videos, but the ice pulse-jet was pretty cool!
