I have received a rude reminder

Post by Ghrey » Sun Aug 24, 2008 7:38 am

I tend to just work till its done. Well I ignored a small inflamation on the top of my foot for two days. It became not so small.

I can barely walk now. It will be minimum 1 week, before I can do anything much more than sit and, eat.

A reminder to us all to take care of our selves

And I had plans....
In the process of moving, from the glorified phone booth we had to the house we have.

No real time to work on jets, more space, no time.

Life still complicated.

Ok so I have to ask, what exactly was the problem that caused the inflammation?

It just started as a little rub from a misadjusted boot or sock, rather than stopping and making the necessary adjustment I kept working. We were in a hurry. So it got rather unhappy by the end of the first day.

Next day I ignored the bump on my foot and strapped the boot on tight, and went back at it. DUMB!!!

Naturally this resulted in a nasty condition...

My mental lameness was rewarded by, physical lameness.

Next time I'll just shoot my foot. That heals faster. :)

I injured my knee last summer, its not bad enough to need surgery but not good enough to handle the stairs at my new place. I'm out of pain meds, do I go purposely mess up my knee to get surgery covered (make it looks like an accident :P ) or bite my lip and suffer through it

Totally kidding about insurance fraud btw
Sailing Student- How do I know if my life jacket is tight enough?
Me- Can you breathe?
Sailing Student- Yes
Me- Then its too loose!
