Rotational channel

Anyone know the technical name for a square channel that produces a rotational movement next to laminar flow? Please see picture for more detail.

No idea, but the rotational movement you mention is called a 'trapped vortex' if I am not mistaken.

Hi pyrojoe,

The item is defined as a vortex cavity or vortex cell. It might be referred to
by adding circumferential to the description, if it is in a tubular combustor.
