On old year day I quickly made a pulsejet for midnight.
I made it for easy starting without time to test, the noise it produced was somewhat disappointing.
But it pushed away the sound of the fireworks, and it was a great flame and hot metal show.

That was a nice sparky effect and interesting restarting with the tall intermission flame. I've made very tall flames like that too when I was trying to get my Snorkeler to run on propane, just screwing around. Your jet reminded me of my piglet snorkeler in fact, but mine of course had no side port. Another fine toy there Leo. Good job.
Here's my snorkeler jam jarring on methanol "again". I feel certain most people must be getting tired of me posting it. I promise not to post it again.
I wonder if your long exhaust is what helps the easy restarting, if a convection going up the long pipe draws in fresh air from the side port?

Haha nice going Leo! guess what I did at midnight :)

prepped the Talon with the tank dipped in a bath of hot water. While I was doing this, quite an audience had gathered. So I look down to start the thing, look up again and everyone's gone :P.

Running it with the tank submerged realy made a difference, it ran much harder then it had ever did before - massive 1 foot flames from the intakes and exchaust if not more. A friend managed to get a small video of it with his phone cam, I'll try to upload that asap.

nice new years noise maker! looks pretty tight'' what did you do to make all the flames shoot out of the exhaust?

I throw in a few firecrackers for fun to look how that sounds, it must be the remains of them.

It is a old butane tank from the caravan, I think its about 15 litres.
