Hi Jansen, I'm a qualified audio engineer, who hasn't attempted audio analysis of a PJ yet, though would very much like to. Can you post the stereo recording of your engine so I can play around with it.
-I dont have a high quality stero recording of a PJ, and I dont have a PJ to record...yet :D - Plenty of mixers compressors etc etc I need something to work with.

I'll upload some software onto my website for all to trial for ananlysis.

I'm guessing those multiple peaks are harmonics, you can calculate what they -should- be from 710 hz.**just a guess**

I meant that I was running over 10PSI Acetylene, and didn't want to go above 15, as it can become unstable.

Here's a good recording to play with, made with a mixing board and a good mike. If you put your analysis software in oscilliscope mode, you'll see the clipping of typical video files.
This one has some reliable harmonic content.

The frequency is changing - Lower at the start to higher at the end of the audio clip.

It appears to be around 267 - 268 Hz at the end. It's still shifting a Hz or two though. To my ears it appears to be the major tone of the PJ.
