Isn't that a Loud Mouth? Not you Maxime, of course. ;-)

LoudMouth engine

I remember this thing from Mechanix Illustrated. Several months ago someone had a set of plans on ebay, but I didn't bite at that time. Does anyone know where you can still get the plans?

If Loudmouth works, $280 is cheap. I wish I could see the plans.

The engine in the auction is actually an earlier model without the water injected thrust augmentor like the one in the old magazine. I have been searching the Internet for references for the last couple of hours, but with little success. Will let you know if I find anything.

This guy needs to check his info a little closer next time:
"Acetylene is explosive and unstable above 5 psi"
Lets try above 15 psi as the cut off point for acetylene.

Interesting engine, would be fun to play with. Maybe someone can find the plans for it.

Hello- An odd configuration as shown in the photo in the lead post of this thread. Perhaps someone would enlighten us as to the operation of this bit of plumbing.

I bought the plans--I thought $15 was cheap enough to justify adding to my archive.

Guys
Thanks for the tipoff on the sources for plans and research materials. Although the plans are for an earlier engine without the water injection augmentor, I will probably go for a set if the vendor responds.
