Hmm Well you actually can make a powder only rocket. You just have to really press the powder and this can get "interesting". I know I keep harping on but the Nakka site does cover this using a zinc sulphur mix (used to be very popular in the 1960's). From personal experience it does work but it tightens the spincter a good deal pouring the mixed powder in and then hammering on a wood plunger every 10mms to pack it. Works though, spark, swoosh, 5000ft, gone.

That is true.......

Did you know that almost all breath mints are just pressed powder? Same goes for a lot of pills..........

If you have access to an Arbor press, you might, (probably not) be able to press it all into a tube, and actually have it remain a solid mass. You would need a minimum of a 5 ton Arbor press though. I believe the mints take something like 75 tons to compress.

I knew you didn't have any of the chemicals.....You wouldn't have been so clueless if you had ever done some experimenting.

Well here are your options to getting them..........

Go to:

A local nursery/garden shop, they should have both
Home Dept and lowes sells KNO3 as Grants Stump Remover
Ebay has it all.........

You are very determined to cause some accidental deaths. Maybe you would better your chances by combining the two hobbies, archery and rocketry that is.

Oh yeah, if you think builing a Rcandy rocket is too much work, you might as well forget ever learning to shoot properly.
On an endless quest in search of a better way.

after being told it would be no good as a rocket propllent?
Was this wishful thinking, fantasy, alien abduction of the thread?

Anyway all this indicates you should take up archery and a very good place to start would be to balance an apple on your head.

I am very tempted to lock this thread, it's going nowhere fast.

To Driveit,
You seem hellbent on not following our advice. You are not going to get anywhere with this on your own, I can assure you. You seem to have almost no idea of the chemistry of how this works, no evidence of stochiometry equations or the like are shown, thus you are not going to magicaly come up with a working propellant. Untill you are ready to listen, and I mean listen, please, don't come back asking what's already been answered.

Tom
Experience speaks more then hypothesizing ever can. More-so in chemistry.
