Marten, your equipment is so neat; you should have become a doctor.

How did people react to the noise?

To me it looks like a very intelligent crowd that gathered, and plenty of genuine curiosity.

Some answers.

Occasion:
A faculty party at the Technical University. Pulsejet demonstration as pre-event mainly for the professors.

Reaction on the noise -- there wasn't more spectacular happening despite the metal getting a candy color:
A number of people suddenly became interested in the stuff that had been placed in front of the building. Intelligent questions/statements, astonishment, courious or weird judgements of people for themselves, no real interest and -- to close the circle -- nasty questions/statements.

Thrust stand:
Funciona bien! No vibrations or unwanted motion.

Achieved max. thrust:
<30 N, most likely 28 to 29 N, +- 2 N.
A bit too low, probably due to combustion product ingestion, because of a too short upper part of the -- about zero augmentation -- rectifier.

Engine specifications:
The drawing can be found by clicking here.
I used to pinch some sections slightly. "M-SP_14c" is just my indication for the same engine as presented in the drawing.

Fuel:
Propane vapore at 9 bar -- yes, it was a warm day.

Injector:
Perpendicular "swizzle-stick", similar to a "fuel rail" layout presented in a PDF.

Fuel line:
Well sealed. Gauge indicated this.
Engine throttling via main bottle valve.

Intelligent crowd:
Yes. Professors and students.

Thanks for your interest.
