Hello people..! I'm looking for some help - I and my friend are now working on our project - pulsejet-powered.. eh, how to call it? buggy? dragster? go-kart? i dont really know=) maybe i'll post here Rhinoceros models 4 you, but - the specs are:
aluminium frame - we bought nice aluminium pipes - 40mm in diameter, 1,5mm thick and 2 meters long
POWER - 2 50kg-thrust engines (this buggy-dragster-no-matter-how-to-call is for 2 person, and it has to carry really big amount of fuel, LPG)
We need help in designing reed valves that can last at least for an hour-1,5... we heard about Aeromarine 8 in. pulsejet's valves very long life - and maybe anyone of you, reading THIS has some good ideas for us?

250kgf??? You're nuts, aren't you?
OK, rather go valveless for this size. Especially when running the engine for 1.5 hours.
BTW How many cub. m of fuel do you want to carry around?
I'd really suggest going for smaller sized engines and rather put three of them on your vehicle later on, instead of one "monster" that might shadder in pieces!

I think he means "two" 50 Kg engines. Still monsters, though.
Mike Often wrong, never unsure.

And - if valveless- what design is preferrable?
We firstly decided valved cause we need max thrust and min "eating" of fuel... Hard task..=)
If anyone has any ideas, or even got some plans\blueprints, you can mail me: navenger@yandex.ru

Ohhhh...OK, 50kgf sounds better. But, indeed, still monsters...
I don't know what you'd want to pay for plans or an engine or something, but if your budget is a bit above low-cost ask the GLC guys (Luc and Viv). They can Help you 100%-ly.
I don't know how much thrust this one delivers and how fuel guzzling it is. There also was a smaller Lockwood-Hiller Lift Reactor drawing somewhere. Its max. comb. chamber ID was 7".
Go to the valveless forum and ask/search there again. Good start is this topic.

The engine in the first link you provided has a 14" combustion chamber. A minimum 6" exhaust at the elbow and a whopping 10.5) inches at the outlet! Is this the mythical 150 -200 pounder?

I don't think you can carry fuel for 1.5hrs operation of a 200lbs/ft engine.
Not propane at any rate. You'd need a tank the size of a bus. I'm not joking. My engine
http://www.wilsonlogan.com/Spulse-jet04.htm
doesn't even run properly & it consumes 2kgs propane / min. Thats 180kgs for 90 mins. You should think about gasoline or JP4 or diesel.
Cheers,
Wilson.
