pressure jet/valveless?

Post by kreon » Thu Mar 24, 2005 9:02 pm

I was thinking.... You know how dangerous that can be for any of us!
Anyway, what are your thoughts on a pressurized stream of liquid fuel feeding down a 'Gluey' type set of venteries to raise the fuel air ratio -and into a (nearly standard) valve-less configuration.
Yeah I know it would require a hefty fuel pump (say something in the 1000 or better PSI range), but that should/ could significantly raise the combustion chamber pressure/ efficiency.
Anyway, I was toying around with the calculations and just thinking about it.
Your input gentlemen?

I completely agree. That pre heating method would not work for LQ fuels due to the desolved O2.
I was refering to a venturie type intake to get up to the required combusion oxigen %.
The intent here would be to provide a MUCH greater combusion chamber pressure during that phase. I was thinking about a linear layout, as you could use the incoming pressure wave to prevent outflow during that portion of the pulse. I noted several pressure pumps that were not too terribly unreasonably priced that still put out pressures over 1500 PSI and up to 4000.
thoughts?
