Re: 5 pounder questions
No you cant use copper pipe as it would melt! the engine runs at 1700f so the only option is 321 grade stainless steel.
Using a lower grade stainless will result in carbide precipitation in the metal leading to cloging and cracks in the coil.
The coil contains 100 plus psi so the coil not only has to with stand the heat it has to stay strong enough at 1700f to contain the pressure.
A cracked coil in a running pressure jet is a sight to behold!
Pressure jets should be made from 321 grade stainless.
The nose cone is made on a metal spinning machine, basically a circular plate is spun and then formed over a mold of the required shape using a spining tool.
we supply nose cones and other parts for pressure jets.

Re: 5 pounder questions
Hi John,
I am Luc ... Viv's partner.
I wil process that in minutes and send you price figures.
You will be stund how cheap they can come, up to the point where you will probably ask your self ... "Why should I make them".
As an exemple, our pricing for a 20 pounder nose cone is $70.75 CDN, including top quality SST-321, labour and mark-up ... Yeap, no kidding and no catch behind this ... $70.75 CDN for the 20 pounder nose cone.
Depending on your actual location, the only additional fees are shipping and taxes (If applicable).
I hope this helps,
Best regards,
Luc (For Viv)
