Trying to keep up with Mark!
Don't know how they're going together, but planning, plotting, scrubbing my hands together in anticipation, afraid to apply my torch to such beautiful hardware, etc. Just a little free association. Will certainly be along the lines of a "breach loaded" engine of some sort. I want to put that one to bed one way or another...

Hi Mike,
I have also found that My granite surface plate makes a fine " table " for various uses !!! It is usually the only horizontal surface that is not covered with parts of projects. The rest of the tables usually look like a layered archeoligical dig site, with parts and tools piled neatly ( ? ) in place.

Hi, Al. I don't want to give you rock envy or anything, but that one is 6' square, 14,000 lb, AA grade. Hoop, hoop, me pound chest!
It used to be a hydrostatic bearing for a jet fighter shaker table (one under each landing gear). I love granite blocks. I have a dozen of various sizes, that's the big 'un though.

Here's another canister Mike, no self-respecting long ferrule owner should be without. I was thinking to make a tiny jam jar device out of mine, it'd hold enough fuel to run a very small jam jar a half hour at least, and maybe an hours worth. Or perhaps it could be some side-mounted fuel tank for a smallish pulsejet or Reynst, attached with a T side fitting to the main body. It's from the same guy who sells the 3 inch canisters. He must have a ton of these things, he's been listing them for quite some time.
And Al, you might consider a long deep freezer, it's the only thing in my 2 car garage that I use for a table, the only thing that is forced to remain clear.

Looks like an anal probe. Does it really taper to the ball-end, or is that an illusion?

I guess the clamp holds everything in place during heavy pulsation. If you're going to San Francisco ... you better torque that sucker down!
Trig IS fun.

Mike,
It's just a straight tube, much like a large test tube but made of 316.
