Post by marksteamnz » Sat Jan 06, 2007 9:03 pm

Blue Origin have opened up a bit and now have the test vehicle and flight video avaliable.

Very impresive piece of kit and will give Spaceship 2 a bit of competition.

9 engines, each one using 90% H2O2 as a monopropellant

As it's a clear exhaust the guys at Armadillo think Hydrogen peroxide but with their advertising for turbo pump engineers in the jobs offered it looks like they will add kerozine to the H2O2 and then switch to LOX.
Interesting to keep watching. I keep up to date by checking www.rlvnews.com

Thanks Aaron and Mark.

If they are using H2O2, this rocket can only play around at several tens of meters high just like they did in the video.

I think the current make is for testing the control system only, ie to control the lift off, hovering and landing etc.
