I was thinking if you used something more absorbent than tar and the ignition failed at first for some reason, then the fuel would load up with oxidizer and then if lit it would go bang. It is just something to keep in mind if you were using liquid N2O.
And I am sure the guy on the bike has taken everything into account. It was just something that came to mind. N2O behaves much like pure O2.

Everything but the placement of the engine. If that thing breaks off it is going to go right where the doesn't shine!!

i heard in hybrid engines that a cluster running from one oxidizer is actually more effective than a single large engine? can anyone confirm this?
