Might as well contribute some link you'll find quite usefull.

Richard Nakka probably has the best site on the web on how to build solid rocket motors.

He's a brilliant engineer with years of experience and step by step proceedures on constructing sugar rockets.

also, try taking a look here. i like this guy, he makes rockets out of 2 X 4s :o) i'll post another link in a minute when i find it, it has plans for nice 38mm sugar grain aluminium motor casings.
