Please don't mind the ads

Post by Mike Everman » Wed Feb 21, 2007 4:35 am

You'll notice I've taken on some Google ads. I'm hoping to make the donations to help the site a thing of the past, and come up with some money so pulse-jets.com can sponsor a yearly meet. We'll see...

I hope they are not too annoying. They are almost too specific to jets and turbojet stuff. I'm trying to open it up to metalworking tools and bargain material supplies. Wish me luck. Some of these links are pretty neat, though I of course have agreed not to click on them myself! ;-)

Hey Mike,
Since you put it that way... there ok.
They do look to be nice and targeted, so some interest or ideas may well be achieved by a click or two, we'll keep that in mind, ;). (my fist and only smily, although that one does tend to be useful, do those ones on the side need to be there? OT)

I like your idea to see some tooling and/or materials ones there too.
What about some sponsership from tool companies? Id like to do some shopping for US tools on some sort of "membership" arangement. "Your" tools are extreemly highly regarded over (ok down) here, and even moreso extreemly highly overpriced! Just dreaming there i suppose, but you gotta ask.

USA made tools are extremely overpriced here too, Ross! They are worth it in the long run though, if you are someone that actually uses them regulrly.

The ads are OK Mike. Anything that helps this site is OK in my book.

I see your cleaning up the site! Good stuff..

The Adds are cool as long as it keeps our site alive.

I Hope you,,,,,,,We make money at it.....

Hosting a meet would be most cool!

I know , New Mexico is a far place away, but consider the next X- Platform in Las Cruses N.M.....

I have tried to send a donation and funds was not pulled from my account! Don't know what happened?

Adds and Funding

Is there a way I could send a stipends via check to you for support?

My employment situation is on a rocky boat at the moment! It would not be much, nor regular but something!

Hi Mike

No problem with the advertising and I am sure the individual private members of the forum will agree that advertising helps defray the costs of paying the forum hosting bill, but its also normal for corporate membership of forums to pay a fee to reflect their commercial status, normally that starts at around $500 per year to show they are serious.
