At a guess, it's when there are long lines or urls as shown here:
thisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatestthisisatest
Putting the following rules in the CSS should make the right-hand content box for posts have a scroll box if they overflow
td.row1 * tr+tr+tr {overflow: scroll;}
td.row2 * tr+tr+tr {overflow: scroll;}
td.row3 * tr+tr+tr {overflow: scroll;}
But that won't work unless you can somehow lock the containing box to a fixed size, either in terms of actual pixels or in percentages. Horrible HTML this thing throws out, mix of CSS and embedded styles, and a gnarly mix of fixed widths and percentages. And layout done with friggin' tables. Meh.
There might be skins that do this for you, that would save buggering about with the code itself.

hiding long links ...
~°~ ~°~ ~°~ ~°~ ~°~ ~°~ ~°~ ~°~ ~°~ ~°~ ~°~ ~°~ ~°~ ~°~ ~°~
I am not sure what the problem is, but this is what I think it is.
1. If you want what you have typed to NOT go way across the screen then
press the <Enter> key on your keyboard. Most of the time I write up
what I wish to say in a text editor first, and then cut and paste it into here.
After you submit the post, and don't like what you see ... EDIT it. Put
<Enter>'s where you want them.
2. Any size URL can be hidden. The trick is shown in the BBCode help
page.
You type it like so:
It is displayed like so:
Visit phpBB! <= just click it!

Its a Mod Mike;-) when you updated I figure you lost a few mods.
There is a specific Mod for this problem to limit rapping
Are you using easy mods to handle things?

Re: hiding long links ...
Aye, but that one is the joy of joys for those wanting to trick people. for example click here to see Paris Hilton being decapitated! although, as it lets you see the destination it's probably less irritating than http://tinyurl.com/5zpaj which could just as easily be a link to ebay as to tubgirl or, worse, some spyware driveby.WebPilot wrote:2. On the other hand, both of them kill the scrollbar.
