Size of a Thrust Augmenter, not very clear.

In the faq section of this website "How to Calculate the Size of a Thrust Augmenter" it is not very clear

viewtopic.php?f=11&t=926

are the numbers multiplied? and can someone draw a little picture with the variables placed where they belong?

why did he not use a standard way to express formulas something like x=y*z and are the variables placed like this?

I'm trying to program a nice vb application that calculates it easily and draws the plans for it as well.

And if there is a better/preciser way of calculating it it would be appreciated you share.

In the pulsejet calculator of eric beck you could calculate the size for an augmentor.

The formules in the second picture are explained in the first attachment.
