Can I use iron pipe for a small pulsejet?

Hi,
Most steels & irons will degrade from high temperatures. May be relative to how long you want the engine to last.

Thickness of 16 gauge could produce over a dozen runs of 5-10 minutes. Mild steel is a good resource until you have honed what you wish from the design. Then stainless steel can be used for final designs as it is more expensive. If reasonable care is taken the stainless can withstand many years of intermitent running.

Small engines can be difficult for beginners. Happy pulse-jetting and good luck.
