I just picked up a 44 lbf load cell and a 4 analog channel/3 digital channel ADC. I calibrated it with a 10 pound load. Works GREAT!. I should now be able to measure thrust and throttle settings at the same time.
The load cell was only $25. If I need a bigger load cell, I just swap it out and those are cheap. (220 lbf for $110, 1000 lbf for $165) I admit, this was more for my rocket motors than for my ramjet, but I'll still put it to good use on the ramjet. Be able to generate thrust curves down to the thousandth of a lbf.
