Mig welding SS

Eric you mentioned earlier you had a mig welder, how do you find that to weld your SS? Have you tried it?

My gasless mig can weld SS as there is Gasless SS wire I can buy that I've seen. Is it rediculously more difficult then the mild steel? Also, can solar flux be used by adding it on the underside of the weld with the MIG? Just wondering, was thinking of giving it a go, after about 3 minutes of running these mild steel engines are looking quite shabby :D

Also what thickness SS is easy to form by hand, is .95/1mm still ok in SS? I think you mentioned before that .5 or.75mm SS will still last practically forever.
