Ah, thicker material!

Dang, I've been killing myself welding .035"ss without backing gas or solarflux. What a difference .065" makes! I made these head transitions last night and am pretty happy with the beads.

Mate they look great, amazing what you can do with a tig welder. Impressive.

Thanks. Guess I should do some TIG practice on this thicker stuff. Might wean me off of the acetylene. This was with my Henrob torch.

Mike, if you can do that with a torch, TIG should be a breeze. Nice beads.
