Has anyone used Nickel Silver for PJ body construction.
It melts at 1100 C and is much more easily available and less expensive than stainless steel in thin sheet form where I live. To date I have made all my PJ bodies in 0.6mm mild steel sheet but I want to move to a more corrosion resistant material. (Nickel silver is also described by the text books as being easier to work than stainless steel yet still quite strong)
My main concern is whether the melting temperature is high enough for a traditional valved PJ body and also how to join it. (I MIG weld my mild steel bodies).
