titanium valve head

Is it possible to use Ti-6Al-4V and machine it in too a valve head for a small PJ ?

Sure If you have the tools to machine such a material. You will need flood coolant with any machine operation, carbide C-2 or M42 HSS (preferably coated with TiN, TiCN, TiAlN). Keep the feed rates slow to reduce heat buildup.

Thats not an problen, i have acess to a late and a milling machine.. No advanced stuff, all by the good old hand and eyesight.

My only worry is that titanium can be very hard on the valves, since titanium alloys are somewhat similar too stainless steel when machining.
