Yesterday I was wandering around a large craft store, (Hobby Lobby), looking for metal objects or something curious to toy with out of boredom. I saw these mock clear lightbulbs where the threaded cap unscrews from the glass. They were kind of thick but I thought they might make a cute jam jar with the cap drilled and a bit of methanol. They were only 99 cents. The cap has a very tiny hole in the center so being strange I decided to tighten the cap and suck on the lightbulb to pull a vacuum. It leaks a tiny little bit around the threading, but not much and since the rim of the bulb is flat, a fiber washer would probably be enough to seal it air tight. Then you could drill out the top to the desired hole size.
I wonder if any security cameras caught me sucking on the lightbulb? I can only wonder what they might have thought. ha

I was just thinking about this philosophy, combining ideas to improve upon something. I have mentioned this topic before, the marriage of the bow and the pulley is a fairly new idea for example. How long they had both been around and how long it took for someone to combine them.
Maybe a new valved pulsejet could be out there somewhere.

Old news but perhaps one day it will give new meaning to radio-controlled pulsejets. Imagine starting your pulsejet this way. I guess you could set it up and at least do that today, that is, do a brainwave start. You could hold your hands out like you were conjuring it to start for effect, with a funny hat on your head. ha
