Don't know that this would be of use for anything in a pulsejet, but perhaps something sintered with graphite would. Was it graphite crucibles that were coated with water glass, (sodium silicate solution), to prevent the carbon from reacting with air? Anyway, it's just some food for thought, you might could find something to use it for.
