Very interesting project. This means you'll get more thrust from the same engines right ? How much promotion you can get ?Principal Skinner wrote:I'm converting my Cri Cri twin JPX engines to turboprop.

Re: turbocharger
I found another second hand turgocharger, this time a Garrett, wanting 4500NTD or 130USD. I wonder how do people judge the size of compressor wheel from the part number ?
I visited 5 bear's website, it's really a perfect reference for a MW54 builder. I noticed that he uses a Garrett turbocharger too. Just wondering if this one fits my need ?

Not enough information to judge by the picture alone....
You're idealy looking for a garrett (or garratt), with "09" size compressor. A "10" size can be used but it'll have to be trimmed to work. The 09 and 10 refer to the last two numbers of the Garrett part number, so specfically you're looking for the Garrett 446335-09 T25. You can also use the larger inlet variant 4436335-10 from the KKK. The design though has been optimized to use the 09 though, but the 10 is more widely available....and cheaper for some weird reason. Again, you'll have to machine the part to fit.
Hope that helps.

Re: turbocharger
This is definitely very helpful. Now I got the precise part number, and for the next step, I'll hunting for that part.Principal Skinner wrote:Not enough information to judge by the picture alone....
