They are quite large, 80mm comp inducer and 90mm turbine exducer. One of the two turbos looks like new but the other one has damaged turbine inducer tips so it will be used as a spare.
This project will be sort of a joined effort, I got the turbos for a friend but I will have free hands to design the engine as I see fit. (almost at least, he is very stubborn about having a four-stroke engine driving the oil pump while I insist on a 12V drive to save weight) I will assist him as much as I can during the build and post any major progress here.
It will fit inside a kick frame and be run on the ice this winter like my Thunderchine kick, so no power turbines this year unfortunately.

Things are coming together nicely for my friends, hopefully we can do the first test run during february.
They will run on diesel through vapour tubes, and the oil is fed through a hydraulic motor powered by a 2-stroke chainsaw motor.

The combustor is almost finished, we settled for three L-vapourisors and will use syringe needles to feed them through the side of the combustor. A 5GPH spray nozzle will sit in the middle of the flame tube lid and preheat the vapour tubes.
Some of the smaller holes look very small but we drilled them open after the pics were taken, the total hole area is equal to the inducer area with a percentage of the VT-area counted off as flow loss through the knee.

It sure is, I won´t take any credit for it though since it is my friends who has built most of it.

We ran it again today, now with the mail fuel system and afterburner running. We had it up to 1.2bar P2 but it will be run harder at the race, it is calculated to 52kg wet thrust and we weren´t near that thrust today even if it ran very hard.

My ears are still numb even though I had ear mufflers on, the exhaust jet really sceams so the exhaust speed must be very high. Temps are ok so we are on the right track.
