No news since Sept '07, you'll notice. Wonder what happened.

Re: High frequency combustor for micro turbines
I find that site very odd, the technology is just not that plausible and sounds a lot more like tech-no mumbo jumbo than a realizable commercial machine, the supersonic compressor really makes me wonder if the whole thing is nothing more than an investment engine rather than a real commercial operation, always on the point of commercial success but for some reason that needs a little bit more R&D and investment dollars to solve!
A Comprex would be far more efficient as a shockwave based compressor and easier to build, now how to combine one in to a turbine? perhaps use the compressor vanes and blades as a disc valve
baited hook left dangling for those that know what a Comprex is

Looks very much as if you're getting a Comprex with no moving parts in a valveless pulse jet's intake. ha

I have developed a mantra:
"Do not respond to 'comprex'. Ignore."
If I repeat it fifteen times, it works. I never respond to mention of 'comprex' anywhere anymore.

Reading this thread is giving ME a comprex.
In the process of moving, from the glorified phone booth we had to the house we have.
No real time to work on jets, more space, no time.
Life still complicated.

Re: High frequency combustor for micro turbines
It just may prove the concept unworkable without High temp materials.
Slagging the exhaust generally leads to shutdown of one sort or another.
It seems such an eloquent design, but thermodynamics will have the final word.
Typing with a 7.5 month old in my lap is a new challenge.
Wait a minute!?!.... hmmmmm..... High heat, with the rite materials could equal thrust..... hmmmm.... lots of it! ( spinning off on tangent now.... )
