Hi Beanie
How does that "nozzle bullet" cope with the afterburner temperatures , is it liquid cooled ??
Cheers
John

Nice cart! I am also curious about the variable exhaust nozzle, without cooling it would get mighty hot...

yes it does get very hot but it is made out of 316 stainless steel and the heat doesn't seem to affect it. The nozzle restricter is activated by a waste gate actuator so when you start the jet up the restrictor is forced out into the nozzle and when you hit the after burner switch it also activates a solenoid which bleeds the pressure off in the waste gate actuator line, and the restrictor retracts. My cart has got 36 pounds of thrust dry and 55 pounds with the after burner.

That is great numbers, have you measured the tailpipe pressure to find out if the nozzle restrictor keeps the pressure constant regardless of P2/afterburner use? A really smart sollution!
