Ash - I was wondering if you could tell me what the makeup of your casting sand is. I am having problems with my sand not sticking together, I have got pretty ordinary sand, 5% fireclay and a bit of water and a little oil also. I think I can get finer silica sand from hardware and landscaping shops to try. Do you think that will help?
cheers and I love ya work!

I am using petrobond sand. It comes already mixed up and ready to go. You have to add 30W oil to it periodically as it gets cooked out over time. You can get it from budget casting supply online.
