Bad Turbo
I ordered a turbocharger two weeks ago off ebay only to spend hours pulling it apart to find that the turbine wheel had been destroyed and there were chunks of metal inside the housing. I've done some research online and found that a new turbine/shaft assembly would be 250-350 dollars, which is more than I want to spend on just getting this turbocharger to work, I would also need new bearing and a minor rebuild kit. I'm wondering if anybody who has built an axial type has an extra turbine wheel and shaft that they could sell me. If I can't get this wheel than I may think about trying a "hardware" axial jet, but most likely the project will be scrapped and I'll move onto another one. The turbocharger is an AiResearch T04B25, so a T3/T4 turbine wheel and shaft assembly should fit it. Thanks for the help.
