I am missing one lot of info for making a miture jet engine. what would i use for bearing in the shaft tunel. i am planing on using caged ceramic ball. but would they need to be lubricated and how.

ow and there was once an off topic asking how small jets could be and i found this

Hi jack_h -

The type of bearings depend om how fast your shaft will spin... Below 30k ~ 40k rpm then ordinary bearings would do, 40k ~ 80k then ceramic-hybrids with cage is ok. And over 80k then it´s cage less hybrids.

As for lube, a light oil/fuel mist is used...
