Looking for plans? Look here.

Post by Tom » Sat Jan 29, 2005 6:44 pm

As we have many people come here and ask for plans for the engines, I thought I would make it clear that many of the plans that exist can be accessed Here, the main page of this website. Other sources include within the forums of the engine type you seek. For example, search in the Jet Engine forum for plans of the KJ-66 engine, or seach in the Valveless forum for plans like the Short Lady, that aren't on the front page. Also, contact GLC Inc., Run by two of our members, Viv and Luc, for high quality plans and kits of certain engines, with more to choose from as time goes on. Hope this helps.

Tom

If anyone else wishes to add to this, either reply or send me a PM and I will edit in as soon as I can.
Experience speaks more then hypothesizing ever can. More-so in chemistry.

For Gas turbine / Jet engine information go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DIYGasTurbines/
You will be on moderated status so it takes a while for your posts to first show. Once joined up DO NOT ask questions until you have read the very informative files and checked out all the photo albums.
Check out the links as well. There are good rules of thumb etc on the net for the home builder.
Cheers

Full autocad plans

These plans are available free from a German University site.
I think the plans look very similar to the KJ66, they appear to be concise and in their current format would be an asset to both beginners and regular builders alike.

This is good stuff Craig.
Im going to have a further look through it when i get some time.

Here is a link to a translator script Manalo put me onto. Makes for a slow and rather confusing conversation, although great for such things as these.
Forgot to add the link.... earlyish morning you understand!

Hello all,

I'm trying to find plans for a Phoenix 30.3 or for a Phoenix Mk4. I can't find them online as they are not available anymore. If you're a member in the U.S. I'd like to buy a set if you have one to sell. I can't buy from anyone overseas because the postage and money stuff is too tricky. Please help.

Thanks,

Mike Veach.

Also look here ... viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6373

This topic contains a full drawing set for building a DIY Turbine from a Garrett GT4708R turbo, INCLUDING a starter clutch system, a liquid propane vaporizer/injector and full control system schematic.

By the way Mike ... Why don't you replace or update this forum old (Very old) "Jet engine" link content with some of this topic's content? Although it's very nice to read stories and see pictures, most of new or inexperienced members probably prefers "Plans, schematics and real dimensions".

Just a suggestion ...
